Our Team
Meilani Connolly
MS, OTR/L, CAS, CPAM
Meilani Connolly is a licensed occupational therapist with more than 20 years of experience, including the past decade dedicated to pediatric care in school-based and hospital settings. She holds a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from San José State University and an M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Mount Mary University. In addition to her California licensure, she is a Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). Her ongoing professional development reflects her deep commitment to lifelong learning and evidence-based practice.
Meilani’s career has taken her across a wide range of settings, from hospitals and early intervention programs to home health and public schools in San Francisco. She also spent two years as a traveling therapist across the U.S. before moving to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she mentored local therapists and volunteered at a children’s clinic serving underserved children with cerebral palsy, learning disorders, and neurological conditions.
Passionate about empowering children to build the skills they need for school and daily life, Meilani partners closely with families to promote confidence, independence, and growth. Outside of her work, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her husband and their two teenage sons—most often while cheering from the sidelines of football, soccer, and baseball games.
Nikki Hunjan
MS, CCC-SLP
Nikki Hunjan M.A. CCC-SLP has been a speech language pathologist since 2010. She has experience in the public schools and private practice. She has worked with ages 2 to 21 years of age. Nikki has served children with a variety of communication challenges, including clients with Autism, articulation/phonological disorders, fluency disorders, and receptive/expressive language skills. She is passionate about connecting with clients and their families. She enjoys creating digital speech therapy materials for other SLPs and educators. She lives in Virginia with her husband and children.
Geoveddy M. Marte
PT, MS, DPT
Geoveddy is an experienced pediatric physical therapist with 17 years of clinical expertise and practice in school-based pediatric physical therapy. With a strong foundation in working with children of all ages, Geoveddy began her career in New York before relocating to Virginia, where she continues to make a positive impact on the pediatric population. With 10 years of experience in early intervention, Geoveddy has developed a keen understanding of the unique needs of children at critical developmental stages. She also brings 3 years of experience in private practice, where she focused on providing individualized care and promoting functional independence for children with diverse challenges. While Geoveddy initially started her career working with adults, treating both orthopedic and neurological conditions, her heart has always been with children. After transitioning to pediatric therapy, she found her true calling and has not looked back. Beyond treatment, Geoveddy takes great pride in educating and supporting families, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, and serving as a trusted source of guidance. Her commitment to empowering children, parents, and teams has made her an invaluable resource in pediatric physical therapy.
Jaslin Thomas
MS, CCC-SLP
Jaslin Thomas is a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist at Play Learn Practice. Jaslin
earned her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from All India Institute of Speech and
Hearing in Mysore, India. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in
Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association. Licensed to practice in Virginia and California, she specializes in Augmentative
and Alternative Communication (AAC) and childhood language therapy. Her clinical work is
characterized by creating dynamic and engaging therapeutic experiences that foster positive
outcomes for her clients.
Jaslin’s professional journey includes valuable experience working in school settings across
California’s Bay Area and Monterey Peninsula. Outside her professional commitments, she
cherishes time with her husband and two children, engaging in creative projects, cooking,
gardening, and enjoying the great outdoors, all while maintaining an active lifestyle and a
love for reading.
